Lowongan Consultant Statistical Expert

Position Title              : Consultant Statistical Expert (international or national)
Duty Station               : Banda Aceh
Duration                      : 65 working days
 
General function : Working under the direct guidance of the MSR Senior Researcher the incumbent will be responsible for working as part of the Multi-Stakeholder Review quantitative data analysis team.  He/she will be responsible for: 

Under the direct supervision of the MSR Senior Researcher, conduct quantitative data analysis of survey materials gathered as part of the MSR;
Complete complex statistical factor analysis to identify meaningful cause-effect relationships for variables examined as part of the MSR’s lines of inquiry;
Conduct exploratory statistical analysis of datasets gathered or analyzed as part of the MSR;
Conduct statistical analysis of ‘game-playing’ data conducted in surveys and identify statistically significant cause-effect relationships between dependent and independent variables;
Produce short written summaries of all complex statistical analysis completed, particularly any analysis that forms part of the MSR final report;
Complete relevant pivot tables, graphs or charts to be incorporated directly into the final MSR report chapters and into the report annexes.
Undertake other statistical data analysis and reporting duties as required by the Senior Researcher and the Team Leader.
Assist in the effectiveness of the BRA Monitoring Council to implement their mandate.
 
         Desirable qualifications :
1.        Holds a university qualification (M.A or above) in statistical analysis and a social science with an expert understanding of quantitative research methods, data analysis and reporting;
2.        Solid experience working within international development and local NGO sector in conflict and/or post-conflict contexts;
3.        Strong practical working experience with STATA statistical analysis package is essential.  Understanding of SPSS useful but not required;  
4.        Demonstrated ability and competency in communicating with a wide range of people including people of culturally diverse backgrounds;
5.        Able to follow directions and respect complex team structures and team member roles;
6.        Must be able to work under pressure, cope with deadlines and willing to work to rapidly changing conditions as necessary.
7.        Fluent writing and speaking English is a requisite.
8.        Indonesian language ability and experience in Indonesia an advantage.
 
Position Title  : Consultant Program Development
Duty Station    : Banda Aceh
Duration           : 4 months
General function :
1.        Assist potential grantees to undertake all substantive development proposals to get them to the grant signature stage
2.        Ensure proposal and institutional compliance to the program development process
3.        Ensure there is internal consistency in the proposal between the program and financial elements
4.        Work closely with the procurement section to ensure that potential procurement actions the proposal are feasible
5.        Produce all reporting as required by the Program Development Manager
6.        Gather data in a PBMS friendly format  to give to Program Development Manager  adn IT for uploading
7.        Provide  technical assistance  and peacebuilding guidance and direction to partners implementing peacebuilding program
